Government of the AJ & K started computerization of Land Records with overall objectives to improve service delivery and to enhance the perceived level of tenure security. A Project under the administrative control of the ITB, Government of the AJ & K.
The Land Record management Information System (ITB-AJ & K) is launched by Government of AJ&K under the administrative control of ITB having aim to modernize management of land records, minimize scope of land/property disputes, enhance transparency in the land records maintenance system, and facilitate moving eventually towards guaranteed conclusive titles to immovable properties in the City.
The major components of the System are computerization of all land records including mutations, fard, digitization of maps and integration of textual and spatial data, survey/re-survey and update of all survey and settlement records including creation of original cadastral records wherever necessary, computerization of registration and its integration with the land records maintenance system.
ITB and Land Reforms of AJ & K has developed the MIS portal http://www.nic.pk in association with (NADRA) to digitize land records management system in AJ & K. One of the major objectives of this application is to provide AJ & K Land Record (Khasra, Khata,ownership) details computerized to the citizen.
